This satsang does come with a health warning in that the implications of Advaita are profound. Ultimately people may find that their cherished notions, beliefs and dreams all have to be fundamentally re-examined in the light of what they learn about themselves, and the World, from the standpoint of non- dualism. For that reason, whilst all are welcome, these gatherings may be most suitable for those who have had at least some experience of meditation and spiritual practice
The non-dual tradition of Advaita Vedanta contains the very essence of mystic truth which lies at the heart of all great spiritual teachings. And Ramana Maharshi is perhaps the greatest exponent of Advaita in modern times. This Satsang is for anyone who wishes to explore these non-dual teachings and practices, and/or who feels personally drawn to Ramana Maharshi.
Led by Sean Campbell.
Combining devotional bhajans, periods of silent meditation and a space for discussion and reflection, it is intended to host these satsangs regularly once a month, subject to demand. We will explore a different aspect of Ramana’s teaching upon each occasion, with the purpose of bringing the collective wisdom of the satsang to bear upon the issues and questions that arise out of that teaching.
It will be a space to meditate upon Ramana, upon what he said and to try out the spiritual practices that are integral to the teaching, particularly the challenging Self-Enquiry.
