Meditation and Satsang at the Centre
Thursday - Om Healing Meditation Circle - every two weeks
Free event - On Thursday evenings 8:30 - 9:30pm there is a special Om Healing meditation

S unday evening Satsang
5:30pm - 7:30pm Sunday weekly
Free event
On most Sundays we will follow the Sivananda organisations Traditional style Satsang program see details of the teachings here: Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Society
Evening starts with 20 - 30 minute meditation, kirtan or traditional chanting (we have the chants printed so its easy to follow, sometimes we have a harmonium player too, and we always have shakers for musical support!!) followed by a short reading or if we have a visiting teacher, they may give a discourse on a philosophical or yogic topic. The evening concludes around 7:30 with prayers and (waving of a lit flame in honour of our Higher Selves and the Light - a beautiful Hindu tradition that you can participate in or watch) after which we share Prasad - blessed food (in this case only snacks, not a full meal!)
Satsang is "in the company of the Truth" - sharing the Truth with other like-minded souls - whatever form Truth takes for you!
Occasionally we have music or chanting concerts with Illumina and other great singers/musicians on a sunday evening instead of Sivananda Satsang - or if a great teacher is available, they may lead a discourse or discussion on a spiritual topic. This will always be advertised in our newsletters (signup now on the homepage) or on the "workshops" listing on this website.
Ramana Maharshi Satsang
Sundays - 5:30 - 7pm
Free event - monthly
Ramana Maharshi style Satsang, (check timetable / workshops page for specific dates)
This includes Kirtan, long meditation, and enquiry into the Truth - we are often blessed to have guest speakers at this event, immersed in this ancient traditional style of Jnana Yoga and will give a talk or guide a discourse.
All are welcome although the topics discussed might not suit every spiritual seeker - the nature of this spiritual tradition is quite traditional Advaita philosophy, see more information on the official Ramana Maharshi ashram website here
